FAQ
What is the armrest made of?
The armrests of the SD1 are made of PU, which is non-toxic and harmless, and is the same material as the cushioned armrests on roller coasters. They are made of steel molds. For durability, they are not very soft, but they will give you a comfortable feeling when you put your arms on them while driving.
What is the E-coating option?
All metal products will be E-coated before powder coating to prevent rust. We do not sell bare steel versions.
If you want to customize the color after purchasing SD1, you can purchase the E-coating option, which ensures that these tube doors have undergone basic rust prevention whether you use automatic hand spraying or other methods.
If you need some high-temperature baking, please note that the temperature cannot exceed 212℉ to avoid melting the PU.
We generally recommend that customers spray the tube doors as soon as possible after receiving them, because E-coating is not as durable as ordinary matte black powder coating. Generally, after receiving the tube doors, if there are no scratches, they can last for 6-8 weeks.
What is special about the latch?
We upgraded all of our tube doors to Southco® R4 dual-stage rotary latches in Sept.2024, which are made of durable galvanized iron and have built-in bumpers to eliminate the slightest vibration. (And they now have a dull thump when they close! This is our and our customers' favorite part!)
What if the T50 nut won't screw onto the hinge?
Some customers have told us that the hinge thread is too short and cannot be screwed on with the T50 nut. Let me first talk about the solution:
1. Loosen the two M5 screws on the hinge
2. Put the tube door on the jeep and try to make the hinge thread vertically downward
3. Tighten the T50 nut (that is, the hinge nut)
4. Tighten the M5 screw
The reason for doing this is to ensure that the hinge thread is vertically downward, because the factory considers that customers will adjust the tube door after receiving it during assembly, so they do not align these hinges perfectly, but simply install them. If the hinge is not perfectly vertical, the nut may not be screwed on. So first use the T50 to align the threads vertically. We manufacture these hinges according to the length of the original door (if you check your original door, its hinge thread is longer also at the top and shorter at the bottom).
Why did I only receive one Logo plate?
This is a question we never thought about, because when we were conceiving SD1, we wanted to spend all the costs on the parts that are meaningful to customers. (such as better door latches, more comfortable PU armrests, etc.)
So we don’t plan to provide customers with too many logos, but only designed a logo for the inside of the driver’s side front door.
And it is detachable and will not affect any function, because we don’t need to turn the customer’s Jeep into our billboard. If they don’t want the logo, remove the logo plate, and SD1 will not have any logo.
But we received dozens of questions from customers, they all thought they lost a logo, and after explanation, they all expressed their willingness to pay extra to get two logo plates. So we will add it in subsequent batches, and we will not increase the price, but before this announcement is updated and this question is modified, the SD1 you received will still have only one logo plate.

As you know, we are still a small brand and cannot guarantee that all products are in sufficient stock at all times. We can only try our best to provide you with the fastest delivery.
But don't worry, if a product is out of stock or there may be an abnormality in logistics, we will indicate it on the product page, and we will inform you as soon as possible after you place an order.

45-Day Adventure Guarantee:
We offer a refund or exchange on all accessories within 45 days of delivery, as long as they remain uninstalled, unopened, and unused, in their original packaging.
Restocking Fee Clarity:
Most items won't encounter a restocking/cancellation fee. However, larger gear like tube doors, rock sliders, bumpers, and roof racks may be subject to such fees. All international fees/duties are the customers responsibility.
If the return is caused by the consumer, consumer should be responsible for the shipping fee. The specific fee should be based on the express company you choose.
If due to our reasons, the goods received are damaged or not correct, and the consumer is not required to bear the shipping fee for this reason.
Easy Return and Exchange Process:
To initiate a return or exchange for your accessories, simply click the “Contact us” button in the head of our website or send an email to support@exceedfab.com. All questions will be replied to within 24 hours. If you do not receive a reply within 24 hours, please provide feedback to us in another way. You know, sometimes the network may malfunction.
Refund and Exchange:
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll notify you via email if the item was accepted or rejected. Although shipping charges are non-refundable, we're dedicated to processing your refund or exchange efficiently. Approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method or issued in store credit within a specified timeframe. Depending on product size and weight, there is 10%-50% restocking fee will pay by customer.
Normally you will receive your refund within 48 hours after approval.
